Accelerated Math 7th grade
Course Description:
In 7th Grade Accelerated Math, students will cover the 7th- and 8th-grade Common Core State Standards, which aim to develop students’ mathematical understanding and procedural skills, preparing them for college and real-world situations. The following domains will be covered: proportional relationships, the number system, expressions and equations, functions, geometry, and statistics and probability.
THESE STUDENTS MUST MAINTAIN A “B” OR BETTER EACH QUARTER TO REMAIN IN THE CLASS AND MUST PASS THE END-OF-THE-YEAR FINAL WITH A “B” OR BETTER TO ADVANCE TO THE 8TH GRADE INTEGRATED ONE MATH CLASS. IF A STUDENT IS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN A “B” OR BETTER EACH QUARTER, HE OR SHE WILL BE MOVED OUT TO A GENERAL MATH 7 CLASSROOM, AND IF THE STUDENT IS UNABLE TO EARN A “B” OR BETTER ON THE FINAL EXAM, HE OR SHE WILL BE PLACED IN THE REGULAR MATH 8 CLASS NEXT SCHOOL YEAR.
