English/Language Arts (ELA) 7th grade

Course Description:
The 7th grade English Language Arts course will provide a balanced program developed for all students, utilizing the four domains of language arts essential for success, including listening, speaking, writing, and reading. Reading instruction will expose students to a variety of reading strategies for reading literary and informational texts.  Writing instruction will include the development of written communication skills, including narrative, informative, and argumentative writing.  This course is aligned to Common Core Standards for 7th grade English Language Arts.
