US History

Course Description: 
8th-grade Social Studies is the study of American History. The class begins with a brief overview of the world in the 1500s and then traces the founding and evolution of the United States of America through the early 20th century. Following the California Social Studies Standards, the class places an emphasis on the U.S. Constitution and writing across the curriculum.
