Band 2

Year-Long Elective

Instruments:  (Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion)

The image displays a variety of musical instruments, including a flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion instruments such as a drum and xylophone.

Prerequisites:  Band 1, Passing benchmarks in Elementary Music, or prior experience (teacher approval)

Focus: Instrumental Music (Band)

Course Description:
The Band 2 class is for students wanting to continue to learn an instrument. Students will continue to build on their skills playing either flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, baritone horn, trombone, tuba, or percussion. In addition, students will learn music theory and music history. Instruments and music are provided free of charge. This class meets for the entire school year.
